Textmate Runs Slowly on Intel Mac

If you upgraded from a PPC mac there is a possibility that things were screwed up in the transfer in such a way that textmate is still running as a PPC application. I solved the problem by deleting my application (yes this persisted despite updates) and downloading the textmate again.
