TextMateAwarePrograms

This is a list of programs which use the ODB Editor Suite and status to whether or not they support TextMate:

• ecto : supports TM
• Interarchy : supports TM through “Other…” choice
• Transmit : will be added to the next version
• Yummy FTP: supports TM w/o using the ODB Editor Suite
• MacSFTP : supports TextMate (not in the UI, but if you specify TextMate as the program to handle the “ftp-editor” protocol)
• FTPeel: upcoming release will support TM
• MarsEdit: latest beta has TM support
• Fugu : I sent them an e-mail… waiting. Also, source is available… – EricHsu response from Andrew Mortensen via email is that he is “testing it” – 1705

• Fetch : supports TM through “Other…” choice
• Vicomsoft FTP: ?
• NetFinder : Supports TM, select “Other” as Editor and enter TxMt in the text field.
• CuteFTP: ?
• RBrowser: supports TM
• CyberDuck: Supports TM if you add the following defaults:
  defaults write ch.sudo.cyberduck editor.bundleIdentifier com.macromates.textmate
defaults write ch.sudo.cyberduck editor.name TextMate
• osXigen: ?
• Graphviz

If you write the author of one of these programs, or know of more programs, add to the list and keep a status on what actions are planned by the author(s) of that program.

The unofficial specs for The External Editor Protocol
say that applications should check the helper*ftp-editor and helper*editor keys in the Internet Config database before defaulting to BBEdit. I’ve added these keys and it doesn’t work in Transmit, but maybe it could work in another app?

I think it would be helpful to supply links to each application’s homepage from here. Any objections? I’ve added a few.
